How does your-email.eu compare with US-hosted email APIs and self-managed Postfix?

The difference is architectural. Hosted email APIs operated by US companies, such as SendGrid, Postmark, Resend and Amazon SES, accept your message content into their infrastructure and deliver it from IP addresses they own, so data residency and transfer safeguards depend on the provider’s regions and contracts. Self-managed Postfix keeps everything on your servers but leaves you to build domain verification, credential management, an API and message tracing yourself.

your-email.eu sits between the two: an EU-hosted console and API, with delivery either from a node on your own infrastructure and IPs, or from shared nodes in the EU. The table compares the properties that matter for data residency and GDPR, and nothing else.

Amazon SES offers EU regions; the operator is still a US company, so the contract and transfer safeguards still need assessing for your case. The table describes where things run and who processes what; it says nothing about the providers’ features, contracts or prices.
